Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26 1991) better known by her real moniker Ari Lennox is an American artist and songwriter hailing of Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist associated with J. Cole's label Dreamville Records. Her debut EP Pho was released on the 21st of October, 2016 was released by Dreamville Records. The singer began to earn the attention of her peers. Shea Butter Baby, her debut studio album, came out on in May 7th, 2019. Ari Lennox posted her debut tracks online in 2012. She released Five Finger Discount in 2013 and Ariography EP in 2013. In 2014, she dropped further music online including Bound. She was featured in Omen's Elephant Eyes as well as on Sweat It Out in July 21st, 2015. J. Cole, who was a member of the Dreamville crew at that time, wanted to have her create Rihanna references. She officially was signed by Dreamville Records on 8 December. In the record Revenge of the Dreamers II her appearance was made on the track Backseat with Cozz. The 21st of October, 2016, she debuted her first EP named Pho. Ari Lennox later appeared on J. Cole's song Change in 2017 and also as an opening act for the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour in 2017. The following year, she went on to guest feature on two tracks with her labelmates EarthGang with Nothing but the Best and Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox debuted her first single from Shea Butter Baby, Whipped Cream on 16 July, 2018. A music video was later released in September. Then, in November, she released singles 40 Shades of Choke & Grampa. Then, on November 13 she debuted two more singles titled One and Pdigree. One or Pdigree. They then collaborated to the Creed II soundtrack with Cole on the track Shea Butter Baby on November 16 and released as a single on February 26, 2019 for her debut album of the same name. The 20th of February, 2019 an official music video released for the song. It's already received 3 million viewers on YouTube within the first week. In December of 2018 she performed on The From East Atlanta With Love Tour with 6LACK.
